Best of Festival winners will have the opportunity to screen their film
at our Live Screening Event at the Rehoboth Beach Cinema Art Theater.
**Guaranteed
Distributor Review**: Our "Best of Festival" winners across major
categories will benefit from guaranteed distribution reviews at no
additional cost. World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (WWMPC.COM)
will conduct reviews for features, while Adler & Associates,
Cardinal XD, and CCS Releasing will evaluate both shorts and features.
We are dedicated to ensuring that our top winners gain
recognition—while we open the door, it’s up to you to step through.
**Eliminate
Uncertainty**: Say goodbye to the uncertainty of whether a distributor
will notice your film at a festival. We take your success seriously and
guarantee that our distribution partners will review our top winners.
Please note that only films submitted in major categories are eligible
for distributor reviews; those entered in reduced-rate subcategories
will not qualify for this review.
**Global
Exposure** (OPTIONAL): Through our partnership with the WRPN.TV
Entertainment Network, DVIFF provides a unique opportunity to showcase
your film to a diverse global audience. This exposure connects
filmmakers with viewers from various countries, reaching audiences that
might otherwise remain inaccessible.
**Free
Earlybird Entry**: If your film is not selected, you can enter DVIFF's
next competition for free after addressing the issues outlined in your
rejection letter. We believe in second chances and are committed to
supporting your growth as a filmmaker.
At
DVIFF, we have implemented a clear system to prevent entries from
competing against each other, ensuring that each film is evaluated
based solely on its merits. Every submission is assessed on its unique
qualities, allowing judges to concentrate fully on your work without
the distraction of comparing it to others.
**Discounts
for Student Films**: We offer reduced entry fees for all student film
submissions in major categories, regardless of the submission deadline.
Please provide proof of student status during filming, as no refunds
will be issued for false documentation.
**Distinct
Documentary Categories**: We celebrate a wide range of categories,
including Environmental, Human Spirit, Social Issues, Wildlife,
Docu-drama Shorts, Docu-drama Features, and many more.
REFUNDS POLICY: In the event you withdraw your submission before being Officially Selected, you will receive a refund.
If you withdraw AFTER being Officially Selected, there will be NO refunds.
All our judges, from selection to awarding, are paid. We don’t use unpaid volunteers.
We screen only the Best of Festival winners.
Our
screening event is designed to collect audience reactions, which our
distributors will use to inform their decisions. We don't conduct
after-screening networking parties or seminars.
Video interviews of the viewing audience may be conducted and shown on WRPN.tv
If
a Best of Festival winner chooses not to screen live, fails to send the
required materials, or does not respond to our requests, we reserve the
right to cancel the live screening. However, the award winner will
retain his/her award.
Submissions other than English must be subtitled or dubbed,
DVIFF
has established a system where entries are not competing against each
other but are judged on their merits, ensuring that each film is
evaluated and rated independently.
They compete against themselves; each entry is scored according to an inherent value system.
When
it is your turn to be evaluated, the judge's focus is on your film
rather than on all the other films on cue, which ensures that they are
not thinking about comparisons when they should be thinking about you.
